Last year a couple of mates an me from Trigranada decide to try one of the hardest stage you can do in the Sierra Nevada area near of Granada.
The most important pikes you can climb here are "El Duque", "El Purche", "Haza llana", "El Alguacil", and so on. All of them are very knowed for most of the riders here, and usually during the summer we like to climb it, because the weather is better, so we used to go for one of those climbs all the weekends during this period. We usually climb at least two or three of these climbs, changing ones from another every weekend.
But someone, I think Mr Lofer, suggested to climb all of then in the same route, and that was the born of this crazy route, "The Big Mac". The name cames from another crazy route called "El Jamon", so we decided to use the name Big Mac following this food nomenclature we are using in all of the routes we ride.
Basically The Big Mac has five main climb in this order: El Purche, Blancares, Alguacil, El Duque, and finally Hazallana. I´m not going to write here anything about any of these peaks, you can find more info clicking over every link to find a more detailed description of each one.
Below you can see the route traced over the map, and the profile for it. It is a 166km/102.15miles route, with a total vertical climb of 4550m/14.955feet. The route goes very closed to Granada so if you don´t feel strong enough to finish the totally of the route you can withdraw at any moment.
If you want to do it and wanna mate to do it please contact me and I will go with you...good luck, you´ll needed it.
