Derrapando / skidding...

La vida no debería ser un viaje hacia la tumba con la intención de llegar a salvo con un cuerpo bonito y bién conservado, sino más bién llegar derrapando de lado, entre una nube de humo, completamente desgastado y destrozado, y proclamar en voz alta: ¡Uf!, ¡Vaya viajecito!

 Only a few seconds, and you would have your board completely buried in the sand.  

This day the wind was very strong, with my anemometer I could measure peaks of about 40 knots. A few people in the beach only, the sand was been strongly carried by the wind, and it was imposible to stand there for a minute. 

Nor in the water the situation was comfortable, the sea appeared to be boiling...but this is it, pure state windsurfing, ... Tarifa in my mind!!

Last days of January, nice and warm ridding day with my old mate the Orbea Onix. As an oasis in the desert we have at least two nice days without rain and/or cold temperatures. Today the temperature in Granada at the starting point was about 8ºC, a few kilometers later, just in the valley the temperature increases to an unbelievable 18º.  A 10º increase in only 20km. Nice picture with an  almond tree in bloom and with the pike of El Caballo at the background.

A muddy journey

Dia intenso de lluvia durante todo el recorrido, al final del camino el barro aumenta y hace que el avance sea difícil. Buen trabajo Epic !!! 

A heavy rain day for all the journey. At the end of the trail the sticky mud increases and made the progress a very hard duty. Good Job Epic!!!

Place/Lugar: Ljungbyhed, Klippan, Skåne, Sweden / Suecia.

Bike/Bici: Orbea Onix

Beautiful place to go with your bike. Mostly flat, except  the Söderåsen National Park, wich is a more hilly terrain. Good roads, with good tarmac, very good cycle lanes and beautiful sights. Ljungbyhed is a small town in the Klippan´s community at the Skåne region in the south of Sweden known by his aerodrome and his aeronautic festival. So close to the sea and the town of Helsinborg at the Öresund straight.

Bonita zona para recorrer con la bici, eso si, casi todo plano, plano, salvo la zona del parque de Söderåsen que cuenta con algunas colinas. Buenas carreteras, con buenos carriles bici y con bonitos parajes. Ljungbyhed es un pequeño pueblo de la comunidad de Klippan en la provincia de Skåne en el sur de Suecia y muy conocida por su aeródromo y su festival aéreo. Cercana al mar y a la ciudad de Helsingborg en el estrecho del Öresund.

Near the Sacromonte.

Foto realizada en el bosque cercano al Sacromonte sobre el rio Darro a la entrada de la ciudad de Granada. Vegetación muy densa para un camino muy polvoriento. En verano cuando las altas temperaturas aprietan es una zona muy fresca para montar en bicicleta.

This photo was made in the forest near the Sacromonte in the city of Granada. The trail goes over the forest and closely to the Darro river, so it´s a nice temperature place to ride, especially in those hot summer day.

A military bike

Varias cosas me llamaron la atención de esta foto, la principal y la que me hizo tomarla, el aire retro-militar de la bici objeto de la foto. Después y mirando más de cerca la foto me percato de un par de detalles, como son la ausencia de freno trasero compensado con un enorme freno delantero de tambor por un lado, y el hecho de ser de las pocas bicis que en Suecia he visto con el candado puesto a algo fijo. La mayoría de las bicis se dejan con un candado puesto en la rueda y ya esta, lo que no evita que alguien se la pueda llevar en peso.

A few things caught my attention in this photo, mainly, and the cause of it, is the "retro-military" air of this bicycle. Later and after a closed look I find another two curious details more, the bike hasn´t got a rear brake, but it has a big front drum brake. Also i notice that the bike is locked to a fixed point which is not usual in most of the bikes i have seen in Sweden. Usually people in sweden use to lock their bikes only locking one of the tyres to the frame.

A rest in the Söderåsen

This photo shoot was made in the north entrance to the rift valleys and deciduous forests of the Söderåsen National Park where much of the flora and fauna is unique; you will find a broad diversity of wood beetles, ferns, mosses, lichen and fungi. Many of the species are associated with the presence of dead wood. The Söderåsen National Park is situated 30 km east of Helsingborg in the province of Skåne in the southern part of Sweden.

Foto realizada en la entrada norte al parque natural de Söderåsen (sederosen). Lugar en el que la mayor parte de la flora y fauna es única. Podrás encontrar una importante variedad de escarabajos de la madera, helechos, musgos, líquenes y hongos. Muchas de estas especies están directamente relacionadas con la madera muerta. El parque nacional de Söderåsen está situado a 30km al este de Helsingborg, en la provincia de Skåne en el sur de Suecia.

Inauguro una nueva sección donde iré poniendo fotos de bicicletas, gente montando en bicicleta, bicicletas en lugares señalados, etc...

Y para inaugurarlo lo haremos con esta foto hecha hace unas semanas y retocada por el Sr Jesus Lofer dándole un aire genial a una foto que mezcla una bici actual en una fuente antigua.
